Members are welcome to team up with one person organizing the Program (topic and speaker) and another handling the Logistics (meeting location and food) or you can do it all! Please volunteer now and then figure out details later. Typically RSVP is taken by our DAHRM Secretary/Treasurer. November: "High Deductible Health Plans and Health Savings Accounts"
with Jim Breitbach and Casey Hanneman with the Denman Employer Benefits Group
Thursday, November 19, 11:30 am to 1:00 pm
The "HDHP" and "HSA" acronyms are increasing in use as employers seek benefit solutions for their workers. High Deductible Health Plans have tripled since 2005, so the topic is a timely one to learn more about! This presentation gives a good overview on the concept behind a High Deductible Health Plan and how Health Savings Accounts work together with the plan for employees. The session will also share national statistics and adoption rates and end with a "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" theme to review the important concepts. The Denman Group are employee benefits specialists who consult on insurance options for employers.
